Arts Management

Since 2017, I’ve managed Genesis Sixteen, the young artists’ programme of world-renowned professional choir The Sixteen.

Arts Management

Before moving to London in 2016, I spent five glorious years in Cardiff where I completed a Bachelor of Music degree (with Honours) at Cardiff University followed by a Masters in Arts Management at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. I now pursue dual careers as a freelance arts manager and mezzo-soprano.

I currently work with world-renowned professional choir, The Sixteen, managing Genesis Sixteen, our Young Artists’ Programme training the next generation of talented ensemble singers. My time with The Sixteen began when I gained a place in the fifth generation of Genesis Sixteen in 2015 myself, and it means a great deal to now be giving back directly into the programme! As well as managing G16, I also work with our Learning & Participation Manager to facilitate our ever-expanding L&P programme, running singing workshops in schools, with youth choirs, and in care settings across the UK, aiming to provide inspiring and encouraging musical experiences to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds – something I feel very passionate about!

Alongside my work with The Sixteen, I also work as a Support Worker with Streetwise Opera, a music organisation working with people affected by homelessness. More about that here.

From 2016-19, I was Choir Manager for The Epiphoni Consort (a choir I still sing with and now sit on the committee for). Prior to this, other organisations I have worked with are the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, The Hallé Orchestra, Waterperry Opera Festival, Eleventenths PR, and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.

While the bulk of my experience lies in managing singers (and their conductors!), I have wide-ranging experience in general arts project management, orchestral management, education and outreach, and some basic marketing and PR experience.
